Thank you for partnering with us to promote and protect homeschooling in Canada! We also want to impact families beyond our borders by providing guidance to new homeschoolers.
What’s Happening I am participating in an international family discipleship and camp training mission as part of my role with Kingdom Ventures, HSLDA Canada and the Global Home Education Board. Our team has spent the last two years planning for the 3rd Global Home Education Conference scheduled for May 14-19, 2018 in St. Petersburg and Moscow, Russia. Over 100 people from over 30 countries around the world are expected to attend, along with over 400 Russians interested in home education.
During this trip my wife, Bev, and I will also be travelling to Ukraine and Belarus. We are scheduled to speak in 7 different cities about family discipleship, parenting and home education. The plan also includes canoeing instruction and a waterfront safety training course for four days in Ukraine. Our good friend Stephanie Jackson from Nova Scotia will be assisting with this course. Stephanie brings her incredible skills as a water rescue trainer and home education leader. We are thrilled to have others come along to help us reach more people in more places. In Belarus we will be joined by more great friends: Joe and Zan Tyler, from South Carolina; Roger and Jan Smith from Louisiana; and, Elizabeth Smith from Virginia. Together we will make a powerful and efficient team as we speak simultaneously in two different cities in Belarus. We will later travel to the Global Home Education Conference in Russia. It is a great privilege to be invited by various community leaders to promote home education in their hometowns.
What You Can Do We would love to have you join us in person, but we understand this is not possible for everyone. However, we invite you to join us on our mission through prayer. We know there is a critical need for a strong foundation where home education is both new and technically illegal. We appreciate your support and prayers as we travel, speak, and serve in these foreign lands.
